The Design Portfolio of Lea Caballero

I am currently a website designer and project manager for LexisNexis located in New Providence, NJ. Here is where I flex my design muscles on a daily basis utilizing over 9 years of graphic and web design experience. I am completely self-taught and have an artist's background stemming from the age of 7 where I would often doodle and paint. I have a great love for architecture and garner inspiration from the likes of Frank Llyod Wright and Frank Gehry. I have dabbled a bit in music and am a professionally trained Audio Engineer. The first website I created, back in 1998, was a site dedicated to musicians trying to score a recording contract. I focus most of my spare time on my son as well as self-enhancement (including pilates, caribbean cuisine, my t-shirt company, blah, blah, blah...)

I am interested in projects that present a challenge and allow me to go above and beyond expectations.

Fia Photography is a full service studio featuring the works of high end wedding photographers. The challenge here was to create a site that spoke to the romantic side of prospective couples yet still managing to offer service a a reasonable cost.

Shanna wanted to place emphasis on her name utilizing the visual representation of it. She also wanted her site to make her memorable and not just not another attorney. With that in mind, I created a website that superceded her expectations and set apart from the rest.

Probably one of the most accomplished people I have come across, Nick Allis is also very down to earth and allowed me to have a lot of creative control over is project.

Escaping from the norm of most attorney websites, Levine & Glassman was constructed using many of the quintesential 'Web 2.0' elements (i.e. gradients, etc). The outcome is a wesbite that is as memorable as it is informative.

Having been featuring on national televison, Ms. Brach requested to have a site that maintained the integrity she has represented in the media. I decided to use contrasting yet subtle colors that conserved the reputation she managed to establish.

Not the typical look of attorney's website, but Ken Peller did not opt for a traditional looking web identity. Instead, he chose to keep his website very simple using black as the primary color choice, allowing current and potential clients to focus on his content rather than gimmickry.

Kari Fawcett aimed to be represented as down to earth and approchable. Keeping in mind her mid-west upbringing, I was able convey her goals simply by using key visual elements and keywords as well.

With a blend of traditional and contemporary design, I managed to maintain the sophistication and confidence that the AMO Law Firm wanted to bring across to current as well as potential clients. Using rich colors and classic elements, yet presented in a clean fashion, allowed this website to be a cut above the rest.

Using an originally developed logo, I created a website that depicts the firm's traditional spirit as well as high-end clientele. By enhancing the logo and adding ornamental details, I was able to satisfy the client's needs and produce a website that tailored to their target market.

Located in Los Angeles California, Larson Garrick & Lightfoot wanted to maintain a very clean and sophisticated asthetic for their website. The site is an extension of branding efforts carried out to date.

In rememberance of her dearly departed grandmother, this client wanted to bring a sense of peace and calm to the site's visitor and potential customer. Featuring bereavement cards, ForNeeNee's Sake is inspired from heart felt thoughts of loved ones that have passed on.

Trainsoft is a start-up software company that develops products primarily for use by government agencies and educational institutes. A corporate identity was first created from the ground up keeping in mind, the importatnce of the human interface in the products.

This is a website mockup created for the official Jersity City website, that was included in a formal proposal to add impact in order to win the bid.

As the new mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Cory Booker wanted a virtual presence that would chronical his transitional period from mayor-elect to mayor. This temporary site detailed much of the mayor's plans for the city as well as his chosen team members.

This project details pre-liminary drafts for the City of Newark's employee intranet. With this resource portal, workers are able to log-on and view calendar appointments, email messages, news or any other information able through the city. The use of Microsoft Sharepoint allows seamless integration of information which is completely customizable by each user.

A simple website developed to specify services available through this organization as well as provide background and contact info. Newark Emergency Services for Families main goal is to help stabilize those in crisis by linking them to appropriate services.

Being a high end clothing company, Avant Garde wanted to create a smiple yet sophisticated website that enhanced the clothing and didn't over power them. It is a work in progress.
